New Mexico and Illinois
This series of photos from Flickr user Hydrogen features views of New Mexico and Illinois. The first image comes from the Sandia Mountains, northeast of Albuquerque. The Juan Tabo Canyon winds through the center of the photo, and the northeasternmost outskirts of Albuquerque are visible in the upper right.
Slightly east of the previous photo, the next image looks southeast along the ridgeline of the Sandia Crest. The worlds longest aerial tram, Sandia Peak Tramway, runs to a peak along the ridgeline just left of center, but is not visible in this image.
The next image takes us to the state of Illinois, looking east along the Illinois River in Grundy County. The town of Morris, Illinois is visible on the north bank of the river in the upper left.
The final image comes from the southern shores of Lake Michigan, and shows Wolf Lake in the William W. Powers State Recreation Area, on the border between Illinois and Indiana. The town of Whiting, Indiana is visible in the upper right.
