South Greenland winter landscape
This image from Flickr user autosentience was taken in March, 2006. This area in South Greenland is relatively free of permanent snow and ice cover. Although the many lakes visible in the Google Earth image are frozen in the photograph, the bare ground is visible, without snow cover, in most of the low-lying areas of the photograph. The image shows the Agdluitsok Fjord at right-center, leading to the waters of the North Atlantic at the far upper right.
