Nevada deserts
Here's a pair of photos from Flickr user LooknFeel showing the desert landscapes of Nevada. The first image comes from Esmeralda County, Nevada, just south of the town of Tonopah, and looks south across the eastern end of Alkali Lake (in the upper right). The mountain in the lower left is Hasbrouck Peak, and in the background is Montezuma Peak in the Montezuma Range.
The next image shows the Railroad Valley in Nye County, Nevada. The flat lands in the foreground rise to the peaks of the Quinn Canyon Range, part of the Humboldt National Forest.
