Eqalorutsit Kangigdlît Sermiat glacier, South Greenland

Flickr user john_and_erin_rogers posted this series of images from Greenland and Quebec. The first image shows the southwestern corner of Greenland's inland icecap. On the left is the Eqalorutsit Kangigdlît Sermiat glacier. The smaller glacier at right is the Kiattuut Sermiat. The northern portion of Gannet Bay is visible in the lower center, with a well-defined fan-shaped river delta visible on the right side of the bay.

Gannet Bay, South Greenland

This image presents a closer look at Gannet Bay, with some large ice floes visible floating in the bay. At the top of the image is the Eqalorutsit Kangigdlît Sermiat glacier.

Lake Mikirnguup, Quebec, Canada

For the next image, we travel 1,800 kilometers southwest, to the northern reaches of Quebec along Hudson Bay. This image shows the frozen Lake Mikirnguup (lower left and center), which lies south of Guillaume Delisle Lake, an immense inland bay on the southeastern edge of Hudson Bay. The frozen waters of Guillaume Delisle Lake are visible along the top of this image.
