Vaadhoo Island, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives
Here's a pair of images from Flickr user Mik Canavan showing a resort island and a submerged reef in the Maldives. This image shows the tiny island of Vaadhoo, home of the Vadoo Resort. It is located in Kaafu Atoll, about eight kilometers south of the capital, Malé.

Submerged reef, Alif Dhaal Atoll, Maldives
This image shows a submerged reef in Alif Dhaal Atoll, about 90 kilometers southwest of the previous image. The photograph shows a double-lagoon structure, with one lagoon open to the sea. Note the poor resolution of the Google Earth screenshot - although some parts of the Maldives are covered by high-resolution photography, other areas have much lower resolution, and portions of some atolls are not covered at all.
