Bodubandos Island, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives
This pair of images from Flickr user Merourose shows the atolls and reefs of the Indian Ocean nation of the Maldives. In the first image, we have the island of Bodubandos in Kaafu Atoll, which houses the Bandos Island Resort & Spa. The island is about 10 kilometers north of Malé, the capital of the Maldives. In the foreground is a portion of the island of Kudabandos, while in the background is an array of small atolls.

Submerged reef, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives
The next image shows a submerged reef in the southern half of Kaafu Atoll, 16 kilometers south of Malé. The plane is banking sharply, probably making its final approach to Malé International Airport.
