Southern edge of Greenland icecap
This image from Flickr user Uiah shows the southernmost extremity of Greenland's inland icecap. The tongue of ice in the center of the photo leads south to the James Glacier, and represents the southernmost area of continuous ice in Greenland. From here, the mountains and fjords stretch southward for another 90 kilometers to Cape Farewell, Greenland's southernmost point.
