East Greenland landscapes
Here's a nice series of high-resolution images of East Greenland, by Flickr user NightrainLane. The first image shows the offshore island of Ikermiit in the foreground, with other coastal islands in the background.
In this image, Ikermiit Island is again visible, on the far right. The lower left corner of the picture is dominated by a branch of Greenland's interior icecap, which extends almost directly into the sea on many of the capes of this portion of East Greenland.
This image shows ice-covered mountainous islands in the Kangerdlugsuatsiak Fjord. In the lower left is Agdlak Island, with Narsaq Island in the lower right center. In the left center is the island of Grydefjeldel, while in the right center is Uvdlorsiutit.
In this image, we can see the featureless expanse of the inland icecap in the foreground. Visible in the background are some of the glaciers feeding into the Kangerdlugsuatsiak Fjord.
