The Qassit Fjord, in West Greenland
This image by Flickr user snoopy_mccrew shows the intersection of two fjords in West Greenland. This section of West Greenland has a wide margin of open land (30 to 100 miles) that is free of permanent ice. A few major glaciers reach out from the western edge of the icecap, and the coastline is carved by many long, twisting fjords. The main fjord here, running left to right, is the Qassit Fjord, while the fjord running vertically is Quassip Kangerdluarssua.
