Parallel glaciers in southern Greenland
This series of five images by Flickr user I take a pic a day... shows great details of the glaciers and fjords of southern Greenland. The image shown to the right shows two parallel glaciers flowing around a rocky outcrop. This was taken in an area about 100 miles north of the southern tip of Greenland.
The Igaliku Fjord in southern Greenland
This image is about 15 miles west of the image above, and shows the Igaliku Fjord. This area is relatively flat, and is free of permanent ice, although it is lightly snow-covered here in this shot taken in late May, 2006.
