The Heimdal Glacier (left-center) in southeastern Greenland
This series of images, by Flickr user brew_sail_blue, shows the glaciers, fjords, and coastal islands of southeastern Greenland. This area is marked by a series of long, twisting fjords, and large, steep, fast-moving glaciers. The glacier shown in the featured photo here is the Heimdal Glacier, visible under the wing in left-center. The glacier's entire 25-mile length can be seen. The other shots in the series, seen below, were taken from slightly further offshore, and show some very large icebergs in the foreground.
