Highway intersection in San Fernando, CA
The short flight between Los Angeles and San Francisco can be very scenic. Flickr user FutureFashion posted this series of images from a recent trip, with nice views of central California scenery. This shot shows the intersection of the 170 (left) and 5 (top center) highways in San Fernando, California, on the northern outskirts of Los Angeles. Note the building complex in the lower left center - an empty lot in the photograph (taken April 2006), and a fully developed complex in the Google Earth screenshot, indicating that Google's imagery of this location must be very recent.

Wow! This is truly amazing - I'm impressed at how closely you were able to match all the shots. Really interesting comparisons to be made, for sure - the landscape changes at different times of year (like the field in the first image that changes from green to brown, or the different water levels in the reservoir pictures). Thanks for putting this together!
